Euro 2021 on IBO

This is the home of itsbeautifuloutside's coverage of the delayed 2020 European Championships. Originally to take place in 2020, the competition was delayed by a year to the Summer of 2021, due to the worldwide COVID pandemic. Changes were happening to the organisation of the tournament almost up to the first match kick off and there was definitely a 'will they, won't they' feel to the whole thing.

Comprising 24 teams playing in 12 venues across 11 different countries, this years competition was spread over a far wider area than in past championships. To start with there were the group stages, played in six groups of four. The second phase was the beginning of the knockout phase with the last sixteen, quarter finals and semi finals, all culminating in the Final on 11th July, 2021 at Wembley Stadium.
