Looking Forward to the Semis
Stone the crows, England are through to the World Cup Semi-Finals!
Who would have thought that possible only a few short weeks ago? Shorn of all the 'experienced' internationals, these youngsters don't know the meaning of failure and have grown with each passing game. Losing that group game to Belgium seemed careless at the time, but seems like a masterstroke now.
The first Semi-Final will be on Tuesday in St. Petersburg at 7pm BST, between France and Belgium. Either team could go on and win the whole thing, but I have a sneaking admiration for Belgium. Whether that will make any difference, I really don't know.
The second Semi-Final will be on Wednesday in Moscow Luzhniki stadium, also at 7pm that will be between Croatia and England.
So, England have two more matches to go - the Semi-Final and either The Final on Sunday, or the 3rd/4th Place Play-off in St. Petersburg on Saturday.
Here's hoping that England play their two remaining matches in the Moscow Luzhniki stadium!
